I am a trained Equine Sport Massage Therapist (ESMT) covering the Scottish Borders.
Massage is used as a preventative measure more than a cure and comes with many benefits. It helps circulation and posture and can reduce swelling and inflammation. Lymphatic drainage and muscle tone can also be improved. It can increase flexibility and is good for injury prevention and pain relief. It also benefits horses coming back from injury.
Along side massage, I can offer kinesiology-taping which helps increase circulation, muscle fatigue, removal of toxins and supports joints, tendons and ligaments. Kinesiology-taping facilitates healing and can improve range of motion.
